From Castana di Arsiero climb towards Monte Seluggio to the hamlet of Biasi, from which you go in the direction of Peralto. Continue to the locality of Crosara and you get to the beginning of the Strada degli Alpini and the Monte Cimone ecomuseum, one of the sites associated with mine warfare. The Alta Via high-altitude hiking trail proceeds along the Italian front line at Monte Cavjoio and Cima Neutra to continue on Monte Cimone. then towards the visitor centre at Tonezza del Cimone passing by the former Austro-Hungarian war cemetery in the locality of Campana and the Great War Documentation Centre.
From this well-known destination for visitors, Italian Alpine Club path CAI 555 descends to Forni and towards the locality of Pedescala before starting to go up again towards the Asiago Plateau by path CAI 635 to the Italian fort of Corbin and the Monte Cengio ecomuseum, named “the Vertigo of War”.

How to get there
By car
From the A4 Milan to Venice motorway, in the proximity of the Vicenza Est exit, go onto the A31 Valdastico motorway as far as the Piovene Rocchette exit. From here, follow the signs for Arsiero and Tonezza for 20 km.
From the Trento exit on the A22 Brenner motorway, take the SS 349 road to Lavarone for 40 km following the signs for Tonezza.
From the Rovereto Nord exit on the A22 Brenner motorway, take the SS 350 road to Folgaria for 30 km following the signs for Tonezza.
By train
SVT Società Vicentina Trasporti (www.svt.vi.it) bus from Vicenza railway station (50 km), Thiene or Schio (27 km). .
PRACTICAL INFORMATION
Parking
From Tonezza, continue towards the hamlet of Campana by following the signs for the Colonia Fanciullo Gesù; here there is a small car park where you can leave your car near the former Crosati Austro-Hungarian war cemetery.
Otherwise, when the road is passable, from the car park of this cemetery you can continue on the asphalted road to a big car park from which it takes 15 minutes on foot to the memorial. The car parks are free.
